Mickey Flodin Art Prints

From childhood, Mickey Flodin's dream was to be an artist. Growing up on the East Coast of the United States near museums that exhibited many great artists inspired Flodin's love for painting and drawing. Even though he grew up in a metropolitan area, he has always had a great love for nature and wildlife. Flodin has been a commercial artist and illustrator for 25 years. Except for a few drawing classes in his teens and twenties, he is a self-taught artist. After painting wildlife for several years, Flodin scored in the top 100 in the Federal Duck Stamp contests in 1995, 1996 and 2002. In 1998, his work was selected to appear in the Watercolor USA exhibit at the Springfield Art Museum in Springfield, Missouri. Flodin is now a full-time wildlife artist who travels the U.S. in search of animals and habitats for his paintings. He lives in Missouri in a heavily wooded area where he regularly sees wildlife. Says Flodin, "My desire, through painting, is for people to realize the tremendous variety of wildlife all around us and to preserve viable environments for all species. Also, to inspire people to realize the awesomeness of God's incomparable creation."
