Carl Brenders Art Prints

When we exhibit Carl Brenders' work at trade shows, we often hear our customers rave about Brenders' "photography." Polite as we are, we love to share with them the fact that Brenders' images are watercolor and gouache paintings, rendered in painstaking detail with the single hair of a paintbrush! Brenders paints every detail of his wildlife images - feathers, hair, leaves, or pine needles - until he says they "get into my skin." When we first published One to One, we never imagined the effect it would have in the market. The wolf peers out at the viewer through some grass. The wolf's gaze has the same effect as the Mona Lisa - he follows you wherever you are in the room. Brenders' naturalistic palette and lush details make his work a handsome addition to any lodge-look interior. Can't you just imagine the buck depicted in Power and Grace hanging over a fireplace in your country home? Brenders' art enjoys international acclaim. He is widely collected in North America, France, Germany, Japan, Spain, Holland, Argentina and in his native Belgium. His art is the subject of the critically acclaimed book, Wildlif: The Nature Paintings of Carl Brenders, published by Harry N. Abrams in association with Mill Pond Press. His artwork is regularly exhibited in the Leigh Yawkey Woodson Art Museum's prestigious "Birds in Art" and "Wildlife in Art" shows.
