Self-taught photographer Myan Soffia is also an artist and painter. Myan is based in Los Angeles but originally from the east coast. Her surroundings and her favorite artists inspire her to create little boxes full of imagination, colors and light. The artist is so grateful that her work can be seen in magazines and books. She’s even more grateful that her art has also found homes in “Ultraviolence”, Lana Del Rey’s album, and as set decor on “Modern Family” by ABC. Her art has also been featured in The D Train movie, Urban Outfitters, Dream San Francisco postcard book, HBO's Enlightened, Westways Magazine, L.A. Fashion Magazine, Jack's Beauty Department, Crafty Magazine UK, Cake & Whiskey Magazine, and VHCLE Magazine, just to name a few. She has always loved art and she used to spend her days as a television graphic designer and then also worked as a television promotions producer.
She always believed that her life would certainly take a different path. Myan is crazy about art and absolutely smitten with Los Angeles. Many of her photographs are ocean scenes in warm tones with warm golden sand and blue/green waters. Today Myan takes pictures of kiddies, kitties, and Los Angeles, and wakes up with her baby boy, who’s also her great source of inspiration. Her images are quiet and calm, offering an air of calmness to the viewer. Myan is a source of inspiration to many upcoming and even established artists. She likes what she does and is always keen to details.
