Pamela Luer Wall Art

Much of Pamela Luer’s work includes organic elements as an anchor or focal point, such as, branches, flowers, shells, or leaves, while her backgrounds are evolved from a series of colorful patterns and grids entangled with the main subject. In her art, the abstract patterns, and organic elements engage and support each other through tension, balance, color and repetitive patterns. The relationship between these elements is one that moves from colorful chaos to detailed order, much like nature itself. Some of her clients and licensees include some of the leading companies in the United States, and in many cases they purchase her art for inspirational purposes. Recently, Pamela found herself more obligated by the abstract backgrounds which seem to be coming forward to tell their own rich story.

She refers to these backgrounds as “landscapes” and they’re fermenting from places she has had the privilege and opportunity to wander. The subjects that compel her to create are common points of beauty: wooded paths, canyons, the water’s edge or a riverbed - the places many of them have floated past or hiked. The artist holds a BFA from the University of Minnesota. She specialized in painting. Pamela has worked as a graphic designer and has also been commissioned by numerous restaurants and architects to create work that appears on products such as dinnerware, rugs, prints, and textiles. The essence of experiences that humans share is what she hopes to capture and share in her work. She’s currently part of the Friends of the Arts in St. Louis Park, Minnesota as an executive board member.
