Marianne Dunn Wall Art

Marianne Dunn received her fine arts degree from Wesleyan College in Macon, Georgia after studying at The Parsons School of Design in New York. The artist works in several different mediums, including pastel, oil, watercolor and acrylics. Her posters, prints and art exemplify a unique style of design and color, breaking the forms of nature into gallant, more or less abstract patterns and shapes. She favors gardens and landscapes, though she paints a wide range of subject matter. She is happiest when painting out of doors. Marianne is a well-known educator and artist, her posters, prints and art hang in numerous private and public collections including Northwest Memorial Hospital, Invesco, Mercer University, Emory University, Coca Cola and Norell Corporation. The artist frequently travels to Asia and Europe, to paint, sketch, visit museums, and gather inspiration for her future artwork.

While Marianne was in college, Gulnar Bosch, her art history teacher instilled in her the desire to travel and see the wonders of the architecture and the art she had studied about in class. Her love of travel and painting led to trips to the Far East, Europe, Egypt, Israel, Mexico, Nepal and India, painting and sketching and gathering materials. She taught art at workshops as well as privately and at the Wesleyan Center for the Arts. Her art has won numerous awards and is in both corporate and private collections. She has exhibited in numerous one person and group shows and has been featured in many publications including The Artist's Magazine.
