Carolyn Cole Wall Art

Carolyn Cole spent 10 years as an artist in New York City until 1991 when she decided to settle back into the Northwest where she exhibited extensively. She creates an interconnected body of work that translates into a language of organic compositions, sumptuous textures, and intense color. She finds her footing within the traditions of abstraction which are very rich, and color plays an important role in describing the mood and emotional value of each work of her work. Her forms are naturally achieved through the process of applying several layers of pigment. Her textured surfaces result from this process and make her art to be very unique. She graduated with honors in 1977 from Portland State University, and since her graduation, her work has been exhibited all over the US, including Portland Art Museum and the Seattle Art Museum. She is represented by art galleries in Santa Fe, Chicago, Carmel and Palm Desert.

Her paintings are included in many public and private collections including Gordon Seigel, former Vice President Al Gore, former Presidential Chief of Staff John Podesta, president of Crate & Barrel, Zale Corporation, Disney Productions, Kaiser Permanente, IBM Corporation, Salton, Inc., RNM Properties, American Express, TRW Corporation, the Heinz Corporation and Campbell Soup Company.
