Jessica Swift Wall Art

Jessica Swift is a pattern designer, teacher and artist from sunny Boulder, Colorado. Her inspiration comes from her childhood imagination and visions. Her bright style is featured in a variety of places and ways, from illustrations on people’s pajamas and walls to paintings in galleries. Jessica loved art from childhood and she was lucky to have friends who discovered her talent at an early age and supported her. Today, she makes art because it makes her feel hopeful, alive, and happy. She also does it because she wants happiness, aliveness, and hope to her viewers too. Everything she creates - from paintings and prints, to iPhone cases, to rainboots, to e-courses, to printed books, to downloadable e-books – is designed to make her viewers feel good, to remind them that they are allowed to trust themselves and follow their intuition, and to inspire them to live their best, most dream-filled life.

She wants to remind her viewers that they matter and that they are allowed to feel good, just because the world needs joyful people. Surprisingly, Jessica is a 100 percent self-taught artist. She’s never had a real grown-up job; she only has a brief stint as a piano duster, but that was when she was 15 years old. Jessica started her career by exhibiting in juried art shows when she was 22. In 2008, she began licensing her patterns to manufacturers once she discovered how to create repeat patterns on her computer. She has a BFA in painting and a minor in French.
