Helen Dardik Wall Art

Born by the Black Sea in Odessa, Russia artist Helen Dardik now works out of Canada. She studied art & Graphic design while she was living in Siberia and in Israel. She fell in love with illustration while she was in Israel. Later in 1993, she decided to settle in Canada where she began working as an illustrator and graphic designer. She loves pattern design and her patterns are colorful and gorgeous. They can be used to decorate any room, from children’s rooms to adult rooms and offices. She also loves to travel, and through her gorgeous blog, readers can see how her work is inspired by her travels with her family. Helen works primarily in digital media, but occasionally embroidery, oil paint, gouache and watercolor find their way into her work. Her inspiration comes from vintage illustration, her 3 little daughters, the environment in which she grew and her own childhood experiences.

Her unconventional use of color is loved by many viewers. They also love the way she uses space and graphic elements in her work. Her art is strongly influenced by Scandinavian and the mid century design. Helen has a beautiful little Etsy shop where she sells her brilliant graphic prints produced in her iconic style. Her art is in many collections, both private and public. She has participated in many art shows where her art have been received warmly by the viewers, both artists and non-artists. Her art are easy to recognize among the works of other artists because they stand out.
