Yachiyo Wall Art

Yachiyo is a mixed-media artist based in Asia but was originally from Japan. She love art from a very tender age and always nursed a dream of becoming a full-time artist later in life. She could be seen filling her free time doing art and was encouraged by those around her. Her passion for art has been an enduring force in her life and she cannot imagine life without art. Yachiyo draws her inspiration from nature and from her own personal experiences and artistic imaginations. A distinct Asian influence is present in almost all of her paintings. Pastels, charcoal and pencil help her to express her optimism and inner spontaneity. Before starting her work as a professional artist, Yachiyo worked as a general manager of an international modeling agency. She worked the fashion industry for close to 20 years after which she retired and moved to the US where she began her career as a professional artist.

Since then she has never looked back, and her desire for a creative outlet has been influencing many of her life decisions. She’s open to criticism and enjoys exploring her creativity and learning new techniques. That’s why she’s a faithful visitor to art exhibitions, shows and museums. Her work has been exhibited throughout the US through reputed juried exhibitions as Oil Painters of America, the National and American Watercolor Societies, and others. Yachiyo is an Associate Member of Oil Painters of America and the American Watercolor Society. She’s is a signature member of National Watercolor Society Pennsylvania, Watercolor Society Baltimore, and Japan Watercolor Society.
