Diane Cochrane Wall Art

Diane Cochrane has loved art for as long as she can remember. Born in the Midwest, her earliest influence came from her father who is also a prominent artist in his own right. Diane knew that she would be an artist and she put all her effort in trying to achieve his dream. Currently, she’s working and available for commission works. Among her teachers were Dawn Emerson, Marsha Connell, Mira White and Clark Mitchell. She decided to move to California in order to hone her artistic skills. This is where she lives and works today. She’s a self-taught artist who has experimented with many different painting techniques including papers, unique texturizers, and other mixed media. Apart from being a painter, Diane is also a sculpturist. She hasher own sculpture garden on the North Coast that has been a very popular stop for many years.

After she’d worked with sculptures for long, a time came for Diane to move on to other artistic endeavors and she began exploring working with pastels. The artist entered Art in the Redwoods in Gualalain August 2016. Her love for the arts, especially still lifes, florals and botanicals are represented through her delicate color palette of muffled South-West earth tonalities. The she’s been motivated much by the feedback she receives from those who view her art, including art critics who have been giving her positive reviews. Her art has been exhibited throughout the US in many one-person shows and also in group shows. She specializes in variety of genres and media, including oils on canvas, etc.
