Peggi Kroll-Roberts Wall Art

Peggi Kroll-Roberts is an award winning artist who was trained at the Art Center College of Design in Pasadena, CA and at Arizona State University. Peggi worked as an advertising and fashion illustrator before she made the transition into fine art industry. She’s inspired by her children, and she paints beach scenes and other aspects of their lives. Peggi uses value and intense color to accentuate her subject. She moved into fine art with a very loose style, a love for small paintings and a bold palette that achieves a lot within a short time and with a few very energetic brush strokes. Peggi breaks away from the conventional still life by painting scenes of cosmetics and the occasional slab of butter or a cup of coffee. She prefers to suggest reality than render it.

Her pieces of artwork give the viewers a new appreciation of their own daily life. Whether painting landscapes, still life, animals, figurative works, or European scenes, she’s drawn to shapes of color and the contrast between them. Peggi currently teaches figure workshops and still-life with Plein Air Liaison, PAL, the Art Academy, in California, as well as several other locations across the country and abroad. Today the artist lives with her husband Ray Roberts, who’s also an artist, and their three children in Northern California, on a small ranch in the foothills of the Sierra Nevada Mountains. She converted a storage building to be her studio. She paints mostly from life although, at times, she uses photographs to augment her paintings.
