This experience personified varying themes that include masculine, contemporary, folk art, novelty, traditional designs and floral.

His work in this area afforded him the opportunity to develop further and to refine a variety of techniques and styles with international recognition. Ouimette’s paintings takes in a wide variety of imagery with an emphasis on color field paintings, abstracts, oriental brush painting, vintage botanicals, and landscapes in a range of media such as gauche, acrylics, inks, watercolors, mixed media, pencils, and digital imaging. The artist has always been perplexed with visual experience – that loves for the exploitation of light, color, form, shadow, composition and texture. Currently, he has a studio and home in Ontario (in Prince Edward County), where he continues to explore his love of art and the creative process. He says that the process of creating images is very important, and it is a journey he wishes to share with the viewer.
