Hawk Art Prints

Hawk art is a popular creative category of art that enjoys fans from around the world. Although traditionally used for hunting, these birds have since went on to capture the imagination of a variety of cultures and are now typically displayed in modern art as the natural predators that they are, rather than as a tool for hunting. Hawk paintings are frequently associated with Native American cultures. These predatory bird images are due to the symbolism of hawks in many Native American myths. In these legends, hawks are seen as an important messenger from the gods, much as the falcon was the messenger for Amon Ra in Egyptian culture. Frequently, hawk images are seen in tandem with a young Indian brave, as seen in 'Young Hawk' by Gary Ampel.
